I myself use dice for most tokens, although pennies also work in a pinch. I
find that 10 sided dice work best, because you can combine them to easily
get numbers from one to any power of ten less 1 (ie, 6 dice can give you up
to 999999). Also if you game a lot (like I once was fortunate enough to be
able to do) you tend to have a lot of dice to use, and in a wide variety of
colors!

My 2 cents,

Hi everybody,

Well, I suppose you are all aware of the "token sheet" I made (I have
accidentally send it to the list, so unless you in "no mail at this time,
you must have spotted it, sorry again).
I made those because I personnaly think it would be easier to recognize
tokens if you use "standart" one, this could prevent a lot of discussions,
especialy in tournament, they may have, of course, some disadvantages
(using coins, you can buy a drink after the games ;-)).

For those who wonder:
The skills token are for "Outstanding performance", as a reminder for the
"Skillsoft" or any other cards to come.
The "ganger" tokens are for "the initiation"
The "Biohazard" tokens are for viruses
The lightbulb token are for "research point" (Corp War.)
The +1/+1 tokens, well, I won't insult you intelligence.

I get the first additionals idea by private mail this morning but, as thik
some others may be interrested and I'll like to have more, I will copy them
at the end of this one as well as my replyes.

I am not an artist , so the tokens i made were mostly "scan, cut and paste"
from the cards or very basic (you can say awful!), If you guys really get
interrested, maybe some more gifted peoples could help with the drawings.

part of a mail from Teos Abadia:

>I would add a -1/-1 token as well.

I had thinked of radiation counters for fusion run, I don't remember if
other effects can give -1/-1 counters.

>Maybe also a blank token, just a circle, where people could write
a small note if they wanted. (Or for homebrew ideas... Matb and i have put
out a bunch of cards with new token ideas).

The purpose of those tokens are to be easely recogniseable, blank token just
don't fit with this idea.

> Another idea: a damage token!
Maybe a drop of blood? Or a Band-Aid with 0/-1 under it?

I am afraid you will sometimes need too much of them (I mean a lot of -0/-1
or some -0/-1, -0/-2, -0/-3,....) I personnaly use RPG dices to keep track
of damage (There is even somes 20 sided dices, in case someone want to play
a LOTP on Torgo ;-) ), it is the easier I find for now.

> Another token could be for Loki/Archie, a token that has a turn arrow, and
shows that a runner should stay turned that turn.

Yeah! And to pay for WOTC patent!, NEVER!!!!, but maybe a "stopsign" token?

>Another interesting token, and something I might add to my scoring card,
would be fame tokens that say Total Fame x (x from 1-8 maybe) which could be
used to keep track of the total fame a player has, and therefore, the amount
of cash flow that player gets each turn. Keeps things easy to remember, hard
to forget.

Why not.

Waiting for your ideas

How about a clone token that can be place on/near the original for easy
reminder (something like a generic person icon doubled)

How about a beaker/test tube set for the research icon? (though, not quite
sure what it's used for yet, now I can't wait for CW :)

Drug tokens & info tokens (for shadowland)?

I noticed the pics were a little fuzzy, perhaps the originals are
better. if not, I have all the skill icons in a little crisper form. Also,
if you need/want help in designing tokens, I'd be willing to help. I have
tons of clipart, corel, photoshop, etc. I'm no freehand artist but can edit
and touch up photos, add effects, pretty good. LMK.

I don't have any webpage yet (And I don't plane to make it for now).
Maybe someone else put them on is own webpage, or if someone is willing to
do it, I can send him the tokens pics as soon as they are ready.
