Subject: TRIVIA CONTEST RESULTS!
Date: Wed, 15 Apr 1998 05:14:49 -0400
Hello. Well, the deadline has passed and the trivia contest has come to
an end. I'm sorta dissapointed that I didn't get that many responses to
it, in fact only 5, but to those five the spoils of victory go. Here are
the winners and their prizes:

Tony Glinka
Blade Hunter
Matt Breton
Felix Hoefert
Bradley Rebh

Prize: King of the Hill, Skills to pay the bills, Genetics Lab, Nerps!

Well, technically, it was Tony that won, but with only five participants
I have enough cards to just give each a full set of the 4 promos.
Congratulations to the five players. Have fun with the cards!

Following are the correct answers for the questions:

> Q. Name the first offical 2nd Run promo we are aware of.

Quick note from somebody who laid out $12 to find the info out...

Fuchi Industries has disolved as of 2060, being absorbed into Renraku,
Shiawase and the newly formed Novatech Inc. They're replaced in the "Big
Eight" by the Hong Kong-based Wuxing Inc.

In case you care,

<snip spoiler>

Shame on you Jon. I'm sure GridSec will be after you. Particularly
on this one, since most players will be taken by surprise by these
changes. (I'll be running mine through them for the next 6 months)

That said, I'll bring this on Topic by saying that with Corp War due
out in July, the changes in the SR RPG discussed in Blood in the
Boardroom (Great book BTW) will be seen. WITHOUT giving spoilers
from the aforemention book, here are a few card concept predictions:

Corp Strike Team (challenge)
Assassination
Hostile Takeover

More Corps (along the the big Eight [or so], several 2nd tier corps
have been detailed in various products as active). Possible corps
(or groups) are:

Draco Foundation
Cross Applied Technologies
Novatech
Wuxing Inc.
Pacific Prosperity Group

Eco-terrorists

Other Ideas?

My bad... didn't realize that something that's been in print at least a
week or so is "spoiler material." My apologies if I ruined anybody's life
with this one :-)

Wow, I'm really suprized by the small number of responces. I was going to
answer, but decided to let people with less cards have a shot....
Besides my local retailer already agreed to save me four of each of
the magazines. ;)

This trivia contest seemed to be a real good idea. Thanks Daniel.
But why doing it during the Easter Week-end ?
I don't know for other list members, but I was in vacation, a hundred
miles away from my computer like maybe a lot of other people...

so long,

Apone.

Well, I'm willing to give up my cards and have a second trivia contest
started. Can the other winners agree to this?

Nice thought Matt, and a fraggin' exemple of fair play. But it was not the meaning
of my post. I was only pointing out that the Trivia took place at an awkward date, to
avoid
such mistakes in the future.
In other words and IMHO don't feel troubled by your hard-won cards and let's all seek the
future for other Trivia Contest.

so long,

Apone.

Hey there guys! Does anyone know what happened to the second trivia
contest. Did I just miss it or has it yet to appear?
