I guess I don't see what value you're trying to instill on this list by
lambasting FASA every single chance you get. Silly me, but I was under the
impression that this particular message board was for SHADOWRUN
conversation (you remember Shadowrun, right? Those card-like thingys that
you use to play the game?)

I'm sure there are alot of people that might actually agree with your
opinion of FASA, but this is not the forum for it. Discussing delays in
the game, the future of the game, or aspects of the game do belong here,
but showing the rest of us your mastery of derogatives isn't.

BTW, the purpose of this message is NOT to flame anyone in particular or
even in general. It is to hopefully clear up some misconceptions as to why
this list was started in the first place.

The list is basically dead since it's been quiet for a day or two and
since I only had 30-some messages in my box today. Yeah, six feet
under.

No matter how much anyone bitches about FASA, or recommends the license
out, it matters not. To my knowledge, Lou Prosperi isn't subscribed to

Actually, I believe that the "topic" John was addressing was basic
civility and MANNERS. Based on my experience reading your messages I
understand that this is a foreign topic, so let me try explaining it in
very *simple* words. (Not that I am likly to have any better success than
the dozens of other people who have tried to explain this to you.)

Your statement that FASA has not given the card game proper support and
that you think it has no chance to be successfuul at this point is welcome
on the list. We will be happy to discuss that opinion with you. (Fasa not
like game. Fasa not nice to game. Game not happy. Game go away. Ryan sad.
Ryan mad.)

We do not appreciate the insults and foul langauge. Theoretically, we are
all mature adults (or at least are supposed to be trying to behave as
same). Thus, the discussion of any subject should not include the use of
insults and/or profanity. (Ryan use bad words. Ryan say bad thing. Ryan
take time out then say he is sorry. Ryan not use those words again.)

Okay folks..... First and foremost..... THis is an apology to
pretty much everyone.... Especially Loki and such..... I realize I'm
about to break every rule on the FAQ, but what the hey..... As to
why..... I'm drunk beyond all comprehension..... I've been informed
earlier today, my dearest friend, (Known as Alphirius to this list) Was
killed today during exercises with the military.....) And, I'm sick of
all the crap that's being posted on this list.....


Ryan and Gabe..... Hey, I appriciate your opinions with regards to the
game..... But stow the rest of your crap alright! Jesus, you both
complain, and bitch, and whine..... Fasa has turned it's back on
YOU..... YOU feel cheated..... YOU'VE been ripped off..... Fuck
it..... You've been saying for months how much you're sick of FASA.....
Get the hell off this list then will you? If the only reason your
still here is to bitch..... bitch elsewhere..... (microsoft notepad
is a good choice.....)

As to the opinions regarding Fasa screwing us all..... If you're
mad..... fine, so be it.... But there are a hell of a lot more important
things to be mad about..... Some Asshole using live rounds during a
training exercise would be a good one.

Look at it this way..... Who here reads Scrye magazine??? Havce you
noticed how long the X-files CCG has remained on the list??? How long
ago did they lose their licence??? Shit, that's an A-Quality game.....
And it's managed to stay in the top 10 for a long time..... regardless
of the fact that there will be no more expansions..... Need more
examples??? Rage seems to be a top seller..... I haven't played it
yet, but aren't the booster boxes going for around what??? $8.00 a
box??? Hey, that's going to get folks to play.....

The way I see it... If Fasa pulls the plug on SR... It's eventually
going to slide down to bargin basement prices..... which means more
folks are going to buy into it..... Come on..... Is a new player
going to shell out $100 on a new game??? Heck no..... $20... Well
maybe..... As to new toys to play with..... If you really need a new
expansion every two weeks..... go play magic okay.....

Okay folks..... Tell me..... I was in the military myself for quite a
few years..... I was as good as they get..... What kind of dumbfuck
doesn't know the difference between live fire and TRAINING
EXERCISE....... BAstrds..... SORRy..... Shit..... Nothing like
telling your sister her fiance's dead.....


Where was I, oh, your life is over because of your game....... To damn
bad...... Don't jump on John..... He makes a valid point..... Don't
bitch about things beyond control..... Hating FASA does shit.....
Swearing..... makes you sound ignorant..... (Or bitter as I am.....)

Oh Shit . . . Alpherius . . . I'm so sorry. I admit to not having known
him in person, but I did exchange private E-mails with him and had come to
think of him as someone very cool, someone who would have become a friend
if proximity allowed it. I can't think of what to say. I don't know if it
will help in any way, but I did want to express my sympathy and let you
know that there are lots of other people who will be mourning this loss.
