3 cards does not a virus deck make. Does anyone have any good ideas for =
expanding the virus concept? Here's one to start off...

Vaccine
Special

Play only during owners legwork phase.
Remove all virus tokens from target runner.

Locust
Troll Mercenary

4/5 (A1)
Melee, Stealth
If Locust damages a runner in runner vs runner combat, place a -1/-1 =
Virus token on the Runner. An undamaged Runner may turn to remove all =
Virus tokens he is holding.

3 cards does not a virus deck make. Does anyone have any good ideas =
for expanding the virus concept? Here's one to start off...

I agree with that comment bigtime!

Vaccine
Special

Play only during owners legwork phase.
Remove all virus tokens from target runner.

I think as you have it, the cost of that is too much.....even if it =
were used by an opponent. What do ya think of something like this?

Mass Vaccination
Special

Roll D6 for each targeted Runner. 2+: Remove all Virus tokens Runner =
is holding.
X=target Runners with Virus tokens.
Mental note: Vaccine's chances of failure are there, but very slim =
and it's also my understanding that with Specials (not Stingers) that =
unless they say...they can only be used during the Legwork phase, =
hence...no need to type it onto card. But I like the idea a lot.

Locust
Troll Mercenary

4/5 (A1)
Melee, Stealth
If Locust damages a runner in runner vs runner combat, place a =
–1/–1 Virus token on the Runner. An undamaged Runner may turn to =
remove all Virus tokens he is holding.

Luv the idea, but with one suggestion. 4 attack will 98% of the =
time do damage to another Runner. Add a Katana making him a 7/5(A1) is =
devastating. And how could you explain him with a Ranged Weapon placing =
a Virus token? I would suggest making the Bonus read like this maybe:

When Locust inflicts Hand-to-Hand combat damage against a Runner or =
Awakened and Personnel Challenges, Roll D6. 4+: Place a -1/-1 Virus on =
opposing card.

You realize how cool this would be if you made him a Bodyguard =
instead? They'll use caution with Wanted from now on, huh? Damn, that =
would be cool!

Yeah, I have 2 Virus Challenges posted under my Webpage creations. =
Though, I will be revising "Devil Rats" to read as -1/-1 Virus tokens =
instead of -1/-0....but the "Contaminated Zone" card might not need =
revising. I will post my ideas here soon, but if ya wanna check 'em out =
now....they're at http://pages.prodigy.net/neorazorboy/srtcg.htm is =
where they're at now under Card Ideas. Talk atcha laterz here......

Good ideas.. :)

It would be cool, except that bodyguards cannot stop runner vs. runner
combat with wanted!... it really sucks but that is the way the term is
used at the moment.

I'm not trying to be jerkish or nuttin', but I musta missed where it sayz
that in the rules. It's to our understanding here that if a Runner in the
safehouse (aside from the Bodyguard) is not turned, they are present
together. Our understanding is that Guard can be used to protect against
Wanted, unless the Wanted Runner is turned. Say Bodyguard didn't go on run
with Wanted Bam-Bam, then we understand it that this is prime time to pick
him off cuz he turned to go on a run and is probably hurt a little bit. If
you can't use Guard for that, and nothing against what ya said, then that
trait really ain't that good. I can understand it can't be used against Bar
Fight, but I think Wanted is legit. Anyhoo....I think we'll keep on playing
by our understanding but if you're right, thanx for clarifying that.

Sadly, its been stated by the DLOH, and its in the FAQ somewhere that
all runner vs. runner combat takes place outside of the safehouse...
thus your runner with guard is never present to soak any of the damages.
Its the same way with bar fight, or any other card that allows you to
engage in runner vs. runner combat. Alot of the list members use the
house rule that you can use the bodyguard to protect your runners from
any damage as long as they are not turned or from damage that would come
from inside the runner like decking, magic, etc... related events. It
really is up to you on how you want to handle it.
