I have a question about *Wanted*. My friend keeps insisting that he can put
gear cards on it before i fight the runner so it benefits him. I thought
Wanted Immeditley activates at the very begininng of the Legwork phase? Also
a question about Fame and Kromagnus rocker. Can you start collecting fame
points once you bring out a runner like Glitz. Same goes with kromagnus, when
you bring him out, can you get i Nuyen on the same turn?

First wanted-

Since things that happen in your legwork phase happen at any time and in
no particular order. I can deploy gear... go to a location... deploy
more gear... use a contact... visit another location. There is time
before the wanted fight happens that you can dump gear onto the wanted
runner. Unless (I don't have the card infront of me) the Wanted card
says that the combat happens very first thing durring your legowork
phase. If it doesn't then I would say yes you can gear up the happless
rocker and make him a force to be delt with.

Second - Fame.

When you deploy glitz, adam bomb, or thrash... anyone with fame. You do
not get the bonus nuyen until the begining of your next turn. Since
Fame takes effect durring your credstick phase, not legwork phase. But
with Kromagnus where his isn't fame, but turn to add 1¥ to your
credstick, this can happen at any time. So you could deploy him and
then turn him to get 1¥.

Any player can have any of their runners attack the "Wanted" runner at
the beginning of (during?) that players legwork phase.

You can only put gear (with the exception of any gear that is also
considered
a stinger) on a runner on your turn, during your legwork phase.

Unless it is the controller of the "Wanted" runner's turn, and he is
attacking
his own runner (which I'm not even sure you can do), he cannot play gear
on that runner before the fight.

No, because you deploy Glitz, Thrash, etc during your Legwork Phase.
You can only collect Nuyen (including the nuyen bonus from Fame) during
your Credstick phase, which is before your Legwork Phase.

Since you have to turn Kromagnus to gain the Nuyen (which I assume
can only happen during your Legwork Phase, because if it was during
your Credstick Phase, you could just untap Kromagnus right after),
you can turn him immediately after deploying him to gain the Nuyen
provided for by his special.

1st question: Gear can only be played on a Runner during the Runnerīs
controllerīs legwork phase. Exceptions are Gear cards that can be played
as a Stinger like the Walther Palm Pistol. Since Wanted! is played
during your legwork phase only, your opponent canīt play normal Gear
onto his Runner at this point. You may choose to fulfill the "contract"
later, thereby giving him time to protect his Runners.

2nd question: Standard Fame works only in the credstick phase, before
any Runners can be played. Glitz would not generate a Nuyen in the same
turn he is played. Kromagnus doesnīt possess Fame as a trait, but can
generate Nuyen by being turned in his ownerīs legwork phase only, not in
the credstick phase. Therefore you can play Krommy and then turn him
right away for money.

Wording on Wanted is ambiguous. "Play on target Runner. During their
Legwork phase, opponents may turn one Runner to attack target Runner..."
Does "their" refer to the target runner's owner's legwork phase, or to
the legwork phase of "opponents". You could argue either way, but I
think this question has come up before and FASA said that it is during
the opponents legwork phase. This would be more consistent with the
regular mechanics of the game in which there is very little you can do
with your runners during someone else's legwork phase (except special
abilities, etc). Therefore, the player with the wanted poster could not
play gear (except stingers, as Felix pointed out) on their runners to
beef them up because the bounty hunting action doesn't take place during
their legwork phase.

Okay, I just checked the Unofficial Official FAQ and got:

Q1: Do you attack the Wanted! character during a) the WANTED!
character's player's legwork phase or b) the legwork phase of each
opponent (Attacking player)?
A1: The Attacking player turns his Runner to attack the Wanted! Runner
during the Attacking player's Legwork Phase, not during the Legwork
phase of the Wanted! Runner's owner. Wow! That's a mouthful!
