Can you use a skillsoft to pilot a Yellowjacket being that skillsofts require
datajack and datajacks being gear. It was my understanding that NO gear could
be used while operating a yellowjacket. Is this another acception?

Ref. Clutch: While he's at Piloting-2, he can have a Doberman Drone
deployed on him (which, similar to the Y'jacket, requires Piloting-2).
Once he's "de-pumped", however, the Drone stays with him; similarly, the
Runner with two Skillsofts would "deflate" but keep the Yellowjacket.
He would not, however, be able to use the Skillsofts while in the
chopper (for sleazing, for Drive-Bys, or anything else.)

At least, that's my understanding of the mechanics behind it all. The
"no gear while airborne" clause should obviously eliminate some Gear,
but I don't see why (fictionally) a pilot would have to stop using
'softs -- he's probably rigged in anyway -- or, for that matter, a
Stimpatch or the like.

I doubt it. The card is pretty clear on this. You can't use other Gear
while using the mighty Yellowjacket!
