Well, that was about as clear as mud. :o)

It sounds to me like they agree with using Archie to turn an opponents
Runner during their Refresh or Legwork phase to make that runner
inelligible for a Shadowrun that turn. Especially if it's the only
Runner with a needed skill. This also acknowledges the fact that
Runner abilities may be used as Stingers (on an opponents turn).

The part that through the off was the reference to Archie being like a
bluff. Where the runners are being declared for the Shadowrun, and you
use Archie to turn one of the runners before he can be selected. It
was said this could be used as a bluff if the opponent is then able to
choose not to go on the run.

I don't think this is valid anyways. First, 'cause Archie has to be
used before a Runner is turned for a Shadowrun.

Also, I still believe once a Shadowrun is declared, the remaining
Runners must still face the first challenge before they can choose to
pull out. Otherwise this deminishes the usefullness of cards like
Green Apple Quicksteps or Bad Lunch.

There's a dark pleasure in seeing Skwraaaaark , Shasta and Tinkerbell
being declared for a run, when something is played to keep Skwraaaak
from going, and now Shasta and Tinkerbell have to deal with the Sentry
Gun or Manitcore all on their own. <grin>
