So far I haven't seen trade lists as a real issue on SRCard. As the
list grows larger, it may become something to address and we will as
the need arises. Most mailers have filters. We could state in the FAQ
that all trade lists start their subject line with [TRADE], so you and
others not wanting to d-load such lists could set your mailer to
filter them out. Would this be something you're comfortable with?

I'm not going to ban or severely restrict trading lists, as it is a
good part of why I went about getting this list in place. A large
share of list members have moved over here from ShadowRN and we're
already versed in netiquette and use to some standard practices to
keep a list under control. I don't think you're going to find us like
other news groups or mailing lists you may have experienced. Actions
like those of the unthinking persons you mentioned from other lists
will tend to be policed by the other list members, and if not, then by
Lady Jestyr and myself.

I haven't really seen a full trade list posted since the first day or
two the list went up. Most members (like myself) have been stating
such lists are now available on their web page, with regular updates.

You can't just rule out the need or want to trade commons and
uncommons. Especially with the weird mix FASA has done on the cards.
After spending near $200 to get a start on my collection (five
Starters, the rest Boosters) I still had a 80+ cards to get ahold of
for a complete set. Through trading on the list, I'm now down to
needing 60 some cards, and a chunk of the holes I filled in were
commons and uncommons.

One thing you are going to notice, as time goes by more and more
people will be getting closer to a complete set and the need for
commons and uncommons will weed itself out. Trading post will come to
consist more of "I'm needing any of these ten rares" or "I have these
rares to offer...I need Sally Tsung, Dunklezahn's Black Book, Cleanse
the Hive, and Foxy Roxy."

Right now, I think you're trying to stamp out a fire that isn't
evening starting to blaze. Relax and enjoy the list. If issues like
you suspect do arise, you'll be amazed how quickly the other list
members (not to mention your FL and AFL) jump in to control it. Were
you present when the "cards for sale" episode happend? :o)

** One other thing along the topic of netiquette. Can you please put
your message after the quote (at the bottom) of the post you're
replying to? (i.e. - the structure I put together in this reply.) It
makes it easier to see why/what you're responding to, and keeps the
fluidity. This and other things are now covered in our list FAQ,
available on my page (as well as Lady Jestyr's and Dvixen's). I also
believe Dvixen will be posting a copy of the FAQ to the list itself.
