I hate to seem rude by replying to my own post, but I have a few more
thoughts on this I have to get out (before I forget them ;> ).

First off, I was wrong about the Security Consultant. It doesn't trash
both cards, just itself (against a locked Objective). BUT, it does
make things interesting for the other player. Distraction has the same
effect.

Also--Just a Rumor will kill a Gut Check or Motion Detector.

Thirdly, if the game were to go to tourney play as is: I'd make it so
you start playing with 4 players, then moving down to one-on-one play.
That way, only one of your challenges may be played on each objective,
making it more difficult to "lock down" objectives at the start of
the tourney--which would "weed out" all the Locking decks right off (or
at least a LOT of them). This style was adopted in the Jyhad/V:tES
tournament rules, and I'm sure something similar would work great with
STCG Tourneys.

Last off, I have to say that Luck 'o the Irish is the coolest card in
the game because it can stop Red Alert _AND_ False Mentor and all the
nasty special cards that make the game more increasingly evil.
