Here's a question that came up tonight while playing. I would
love to hear your thoughts on the subject.
I was taking two of my runners (Lord Torgo--Anti-Social and
Nightshade--Social 2) on a run. The first challenge I came across
could be sleazed with a Social 2. Of course I had it with Nightshade,
but since Torgo is anti-social it was not possible to sleaze the
challenge. Seeing that I couldn't sleaze it with Torgo, but would
have an easy time with the combat, my opponent used Green Apple
Quicksteps to send him home. This was before any of the combat was
begun or much less even prepared for. So now what happens?
I have a few ideas here:
1) Since he sent Torgo home I was able to sleaze the challenge
with Nightshades Social 2.
2) The alarm was sounded by Torgo when I turned the card, so
Nightshade was left all by herself to deal with the now unsleazable
(is that a word?) challenge.
3) Combat was already beginning so my opponent would have to wait
until after it was resolved to send Torgo home.
We ended up using the first case knowing that I would pull out
with only Nightshade left. We figured it was better to error in favor
of the runner, than to have a wholesale slaughter.
So what do you think? What should we have done? Was I clear
enough with the description?
