This is a semi rambling sort of post to get some more abstract posts,
beyond just rule questions, started ;-) Not that rules questions aren't
important :-) Please feel free (and do to cut down on bandwidth) hack it
up to comment on whatever section(s) you wish.



So now that everyone has had a chance to play the game for a couple of
weeks, what are people finding out about what works and what doesn't?

For myself, I think the simple approach to timing was unique. In the long
run though I think it might be too simplistic. Just from the questions
asked here the this/last week, there are consistant problems linked with
certain cards. It would be nice to have some "official" answers beyond
just roll a d6 and get on with it ;-)



What sort of techniques do people use regarding challenges? Has any one
tried a deck that has a theme for the challenges?

At first we were randomly throwing them in to fill up to 60 cards (usually
the recommend 15-20). Now with a larger selection of cards, a little more
strategy can be used. I typically put the "big" creatures/damage dealers
as the bottom card. The second is something that I think will trigger an
alarm (either an automatic trigger or something the runners can't sleaze).
The top card is something like Gut Check or Hellish Traffic.


Is there a card that you find "useful" in every deck?

For instance I put a security camera in every deck if for no other reason
than my opponent almost always has a decker w/ Browse (probably the card
that I most consider "broken" in that for its ability it is underpriced
IMHO).




What sort of "killer" combos have people come up with?

My favorite so far is the Skwaaark/cybergear/32 damage that was mentioned
yesterday :-) However, I've always been more of the "street samurai"
type, even in the RPG. What sort of more "creative" combos have people
found?



Speaking of the RPG, has anyone tried to recreate their character/party?
Along with that, what sort of things do you think are currently "missing"?

One of my friends found a great counter part to his character in Kraker
Jack, down to the pistol ability. As for myself, I played a human
bodyguard which leaves me hanging for the moment :-( However, I also had a
AmerI that Macabre works well for. My biggest "disappointment" is the
lack of a Manhunter pistol though, my favorite in the RPG :-)



To wrap this up before it gets too long (too late I know ;-) ). What
sort of things would you like to see in the expansions in the future?

As for myself, I'd like to see on that centers on the AmerIndians and/or
Central and South America.
