That's the Usenet for you (g) Largest outlet for negative vibes in the
entire world.

Well, the flavor text *is* bland. I'm rather glad, however, not to see
paragraphs on cards:
I'm one of those guys who just can't read a 6-point font.

Looking at it from a CCG point of view, though, the Shadowrun card-game
isn't very innovative -
though I think the CCG market as a whole is stepping out of the
innovation phase (how many ways can you turn a card, anyway?) There
*are* a lot of possibilities out there, and when I have 150 'new' cards
put together I'm sending them to FASA as a submission. (Actually, I've
emailed Mike, asking them if they are accepting subs, with no response
yet.)

From another point of view -- I like SRTCG a lot more than the White
Wolf-inspired games (*far* too many attributes on cards, those) and more
than what MtG became (rules lawyerism at its bestest!). SRTCG is bloody
-simplistic-, and to me, that's one of its best selling points. You
actually can play with just a starter and two boosters (try *that* with
Rage of Jyhad!)

Right now there really aren't a lot of "weird" cards out there in
SRTCG. I would be careful, however, to *not* stress the RPG when you're
talking about the cardgame. One should (at least formally) exist
without the other.

I'll have to stop by rgtc.misc sometime....
