Well, I'm going to have to stay out of the project for now. I don't
want to end up with anyone feeling I plagiarized them, although from the
few postings so far, there are definitely some common threads...

I *know* I have 150 cards in my head, don;t worry :) And plenty of
weird ideas to fit them out with. I used to playtest for L5R, so at
least I have some experience in this field..

Well.. we have differing opinions. IIRC, though, there were even more
traits on a Vampire card (clan and skills - I may be blending this into
Rage..) But I ended up with a lot of cards that were only usable by,
say, Ventrue, and only getting two or three Ventrue made that card (cool
as it might be) useless. Starter decks _weren't_; I can remember more
than one that was utterly unusable. And there were a lot of cards that
were only usable by one particular clan, or one particular skill.

Not that SRTCG doesn't have 'class' cards, but so far I've gotten a good
mix of cards (with the exception of deckers, as I only had nine (!)
Gear.Matrix cards after an entire box of boosters. But that's evened
out now.) And a lot of the Gear.Items are usable by any Runner.

Don't know about the Jyhad expansions (wasn't even sure there were any!)
I can say this, though, that with the deliberate "we're going to reprint
X cards", SRTCG has the feel of a beta release. Hell, if they needed
playtesters, I woulda volunteered.
