Bleck.

I can see that the motto for many of us on this list is now
going to be "house rules" even more than ever... :-(

You know, when I pay for a game, I expect a reasonably balanced
rules system. Having lots of random cards with "cool" abilities
(as Jim puts it) doesn't guarantee a good game - it just guarantees
a random one. Sometime that's good - sometimes it ain't. In my
opinion, if there is EVER a card in a CCG game that is so powerful
that it is a distinct disadvantage for any deck to NOT have it in
their deck, then there is a game balance problem. GAQS pretty obviously
fits this description. If FASA doesn't want to take responsibility and
fix this problem, I guess that's ok. A bit disappointing, but okay.
We can still use house rules and my collecting the cards for a set
because the art is cool is certainly unaffected by the ruling. All
it really hurts (destroys, in my opinion) is any chance of good
tournament SRTCG play.

Two out of three isn't too bad...
