It would be a good card idea, except for the fact a "guard" ability
has already been incorporated into the game. Check out

http://www.fasa.com/Shadowrun/SRTCG/SRTCGRules/SRTCGRulesCards.html

about 1/2 way down the page there is a section on the "guard" ability.
This is an online copy of the rule book. If you dig into the front
part under the section on the cards themselves, it is buried in there
as well. So far there are only 2 runners (Knuckles and Scorpio) that
I know of that have it. Hopefully there will be some more in the
future.

You do bring up something interesting though in the giving of a threat
rating to a contact. How do people feel about this? Would it be too
much of a deviation from the "norm"? The obvious first question would
be, is there such a case where you would need a contact with a threat
rating as opposed to a runner with an ability? Take for instance
runners with recon and Corp. Sec. (still our COW :-) ).

Minor side point,
Forrest
