Sounds like an L5R Follower to me. Gear is the better of the two
choices, since it's "linked" to one runner (but can you exchange the
bodyguard?)

Maybe "House Arrest"? Hmm, no, I'll save that idea for myself :)

So, even though it's a 6/6, one point of AP damage will kill it? Kinda
weak.

Ahh. A 'Prime' Contact!

Given the cost and (apparent) weakness, I'd rather spend the few extra Y
and get a Bodyguard Runner into play.

On the other hand....

Smart Frame
Type: Gear/Matrix/Program
Cost: 2Y
Text: Play on a Runner with Decking-2. Smart Frame acts as a 4/4 (A1)
Frame (*). Smart Frame has the ability to Guard the Runner it is played
on against Matrix attacks only.
Picture: An up-close shot of a decker's eye; instead of a pupil,
however, we see the the image of an armored knight amidst a swirl of
neon and pastel - the Matrix.
Flavor: (none)

(*): Frames are just like Spirits and Drones, but different. More on
that very soon.
