Through the great ghost dance, the Amerindian tribes took back most of
the western states. This splintered the U.S. California became a free
state. Upset at the existing government's cave-in to the Amerinds, the
southern stated seceeded into the Confederate American States. In a
mutual effort, Canada and the remaining U.S. joined into the United
Canadian American States.
