Now that you're listening, I'm trying to get FASA approval to allow me to
run a demo at local convention during Halloween Weekend. Fields of Honor
will take place in Des Moines, Iowa October 31 through November 2.
Since FASA has scheduled only 4 total demonstrations (I think), I thought it
would be our duty to try and extend the influence of Shadowrun to other
unenlightened souls. I know my area is "polluted" by MtG players
exclusively (Shadowrun... what's that? has been my typical response). By
running demos at even small conventions, we can introduce the game to new
players.
At the last Fields of Honor (in 95) I attended, a Wyvern demonstration was
run by a local dealer. Sales of the game jumped for the rest of the event,
and I actually saw players trading in Magic for other games.
What does everyone think about this idea/strategy to increase sales for FASA?

Oh yeah... (I stole this from someone, sue me.)
If an infinite number of hillbillies rode around in an inifinite
number of pickup trucks with an infinite number of shotguns, one would
eventually produce the complete works of Shakespeare in braille on
highway road signs.
