My understanding is the attached cards get trashed when the root card
does.

In the case of Smartlink, I'd say the essence point is regained as the
card is no longer there to count towards the essence limit of 6. Cases
like this is where you have to detour from the RPG mechanics a bit, as
the TCG would overwise get overcomplicated and laden down with
bookkeeping.

I would count it as the next closest number (i.e. 7 --> 6 or 0 --> 1).
In otherwords the die roll modifier becomes moot and has no real effect.

I don't have my binder with me, and I can't get to Paolo's site at the
moment to check a spoiler list. I believe it's the user getting the
bonus, as he gets to add Firearms to the Attack Value.

not to

It doesn't turn. This comes from the list's Game Q&A:

Q. Since it doesn't have to be turned to use it, does the Ally spirit
count towards a Shaman's limit of spirits?

A. They still count because even though they don't turn, they ARE used.

favorite dragon, Lofwyr?

Possibly, I haven't heard anything specific.

nice trip?

Not quite yet. I still have 4 hours left here at work. :o)

Part of the job when you're Fearless Leader.
