I've always played this as a "yes" -- assuming the Runner has Sorcery-2
and hasn't used any other spell that turn, etcet.

I suppose if you go hardcore on the card text, you might not be allowed
to. (The card reads, "use Attack Value of (foo) instead of user's"; the
first would replace the user's, while the second would have to replace
the first, which it can't do. I say t'heck with that!)

You *don't* have to use any Gear that's played on a Runner; you
obviously wouldn't gain the Attack bonus for it, but neither would you
lose your other hand....

I can remember a similar thread about doing the same with armor, to
avoid trashing it however; I made an off-the-cuff statement I might
allow a Runner to "leave it at home" -- that is, they can't use it for
the entire Run, rather than picking and choosing. It's cards like this
that make me think otherwise.

They're all traits. When Static trolls on the Internet... eh, I mean,
when Static turns into a Troll, he can still Recon, and he's still
Anti-Social.

I suppose there might (someday) be a Runner with Guard-2. Just like
Biotech, it would turn a Runner outside of a shadowrun, and so can only
be used simultaneously during a shadowrun.

You might look into having two or three Runners with Guard at the same
time, which would duplicate the feat. Can't see anyone (who's taking
the majority of the damage on the Run) lasting all that long, either.
