The tournament environment of all Wizards' CCGs (all Types in Magic's Case)
show conclusively that money is an almost assured way to win. (I also
concede that skill, luck, and deck construction together, will SOMETIMES
overcome this, but every little Mr. Suitcase gets his pro-deck from a list
in a magazine now anyways).

I have been trying to develop <The Ultimate Shadowrun Deck (TM)>/jk for the
last 2 weeks. I started with putting 1+ of all the best challenges in
(except The Big Chase, which I don't have). I have found that-

A. Why wouldn't you use an Incubus, who's requirement is rarer and effect
is superior over a Booby Trap?

You wouldn't, but after 3 Incubi in a deck, you begin wondering if
somebody with Leadership will just screw that up, so you put in some motion
detectors. Yeah, some will say that it's important to vary the
requirements, but all in all, I often don't have people with demolitions in
my deck 'cause I always have some character who was useful and is now fodder.

B. Why wouldn't I use The Guardian Dracoform (or other unique challenges)?

They suck. The Guardian is nice as a motion detector, but again, the
Elementals might as well be pumpable challenges, which are more versatile.

C. Why did Crow just rip on the Basilisk!?

As one of the few things that removes stuff from the game, it is
under-used.

D. Why would you play with Redline?

I really don't know.

E. Why wouldn't you play with NERPS or Foxy or MAGLOCK PASSKEY?

The most powerful (arguably, I guess) cards in the game that are all
promos!

Anyways....enough with faceitious questions.
I often get beat by my friend who has 4 starters worth against my attempts
at The Ultimate Shadowrun Deck (although I did give him a NERPS, Passkey,
and Hatchetman 2057).
In my experiments I didn't simply try the Bruiser Deck against him (a la
SCRYE?) and I'm pretty sure a bruiser of some type is the best. But then
again, would that be the fun way to go find out?

FYI: I am playing as if I had access to 4 of each card. (from my
experiences in the Magic Tournament Scene, this is my favorite way to play
and experiment!).
There are a few cards I don't even have 1 of, so we haven't been using
Clutch, Marek, Caesar, The Big Chase, Cortex Bomb, etc. But who cares?
We test both multiplayer and 1 on 1.

This post is mostly opinion, if you don't like it, let me know!
