We play the same way: you can't just play Ranger Arms and Laser Sight =
on
a runner with Firearms-1. Because of this, I took Laser Sight out.
It's just too time-intensive to move weapons around with laser sight. =
I
also found Smartgun Link to be a little slow for the benefit. To get a
high bonus, it seems to me you need firearms two and a laser sight, and
building that takes time. Might almost be better to use explosive =
ammo.
How do the laser sight and smartgun combos work for you, Phillip?

The problem I have with the more expensive weapons is that the burst
fire costs are prohibitively expensive, and I don't feel most weapons
are giving me proper bang for my nuyen. I do like the ideas of adding =
a
Shellsock or two, and will probably do that. I might try the FN HARs
and see how they look too. I guess my main reason for keeping Ranger-X
is that the card is cheap. I get +3 to attack rating for a cost of =
two,
I can use indirect fire (like through Kracker Jack or a rocker), and it
is a silenced weapon if I take it on a run.

I used shopping cart lady, and she worked well. I found it to be =
better
than Squatter, if you have almost all your gear as weapons. The thing
is, i find my mortality to be low in big guy decks, and having Shopping
Cart Lady to bring back a cheap card is not all that important. I =
would
usually give Torgo a katana and someone else a Panther, so if an
opponent kills someone off I should still have plenty of offensive =
power
without needing to dip into my discard for a Panther.

Matt mentioned other runners. I thought of Flatline, but decided
against him. Without pistols in my deck I went for Domino instead.
Same cost, no armor, but better stats and skills. Ghost Who Walks has
the skills I need, but he's too expensive for his threat rating.
Shellshock is good, though. I'll have to think about replacing Grizzly
with a Shellshock. Hmmm.

I like the ideas of taking out Media Chick and replacing with something
like an All or Nothing or other stinger.

I live in fear of warehouse, mostly from blowing other people's
warehouses up with a Cherry Bomb. I think on most draws I should not =
be
stuck holding a gear card, but time will tell.

Phillip, I encourage you to try Shadowland instead of Vortex.
Shadowland gives you the same ability to visit it repeatedly, and most
times you will get an info token. You can stock up on these, then
Shadowrun. After facing your first challenge, you can spend a token =
and
if you roll right, take a look at what's next. This is really good for
the big guy deck, since I can find that Guardian Dracoform/Mine
Field/Highway Showdown that is at the bottom of a tough challenge pile.
Also, if it's something like Chomps, I can withdraw and leave it for
another player in a multiplayer game.

Your idea of changing Corpselight is a good one. I'm not worried about
it being sleazed, since I would put it at the bottom of a challenge
deck, and expect the alarm to be triggered by then. Still, I can
probably find something more harmful, since the point of this deck is =
to
intimidate and kill my opponents.

I really appreciate everyone's comments and deck ideas. Keep them
coming!

I will be in St. Louis the next two weeks. Anyone in St. Louis?

Teos.
