FASA send the tourney rules,good.
They ask what we think of it,even better.
So, here is what i think.( i am not a tourney organizer, nor a great player,
so take what i will say for what it si worth.)
I like most of the things, the idea of alterning two and four players game
is great, and so is the way of resolving ties, but there is some things i am
not happy with:
1) losers elimination:
I have see no other ccg tournament with this particality since at last two
years, they don't work here! (I live in Belgium, small european country,
very few games convention,...)It is hard going to tournament knowing that a
mistake or just bad luck in the first round will get you out!!
2) 50 rep. points win!:
50 points is a very low score, an impossible mission with the bonus and you win.
( I have not yet seen that, but i am sure it is possible to make a deck
around that mission card!)
3) the nuyen bonus system for "the showdown":
the first seat get a 12 nuyens bonus at start last, that mean that on the
second turn (the first with possibility for a run), you can already have 20
nuyens worth of runners and gear and, with some luck, a choice of 4
objectives to run for !!! I'd like to be this one.
