rules questions on some specific cards, and we were shocked to hear what was
said:
Q 1. Invisibility, there was a rumor that it was going to be errata'd, along
with the contact Media chick, has it been changed, is the card Officially
changed, and if so what does the new text read?
Answer Given, (said to have been given by Skuzzy). Yes to both, the Media
Chick and Invisibility have both been Errata'd. Invisibility has been changed
to roll d6 when one of the applicable challenges are faced, on a 4-6 the
challenge is trashed, otherwise, face challenge as normal. Media Chick now
reads May only use this ability 3 times per shadowrun.
Q 2. In the SRCCG rulebook, it states that when a Player is put into negative
reputation, ignore any further Negatives to that players current reputation
total, is this true?
Answer (skuzzy too)- You are corrent in saying that this is what is stated in
the SRCCG rule book, but due to many difficulties, and that making some cards
become useless during play, and player complaints, this has been removed from
the rulebook, and is no longer a game rule.
Q 3.- The Challenge Elite Security Mage's ability, (once per shadowrun, owned
may immediately frag the top card of his/her deck and to send one runner of
his choice back to the safehouse), the question on exactly when this ability
can be used came up. When can it be used?
Answer (Skuzzy) - This ability can be used at any time, but the player who's
turn it is gets the first attempt to play cards against it, or use cards
already in play. This is becasue the roll d6 to see which player gets action
first has also been removed from the rules of the game, and removed from the
rulebook. So If the running player has a card that can use to trash or slease
the challenge, (invisibility, rampaging mutant, or another spell or runner
ability) he or she can do so. (Not compile skills to slease it though, the
owner of ESM can us its ability first, hopefully sending the runner who has
the skills to slease home)
Q 4.- Gear miscilaneous cards, do they deploy on a runner, or on the table?
Answer (skuzzy)- A friend had said that you deploy gear misc. on the table,
not on the runner, making it possible for you to use say wabbits feet with a
shwarrk. This is incorrect, and all gear deploys on a runner, or gear card,
as so specified by the card. Shwaark CAN use chipjacks (cyberwere) but not
use the Skill softs to go with the Jack, huh??? (kinda makes no sense but
hey, who cares, Shwaark is big)
I am just wondering if anyone else heard about these clarifications, and
errata. If you havem and these changes are correct, myself, and im sure the
rest of the players on the list would like to know, Loki if you are listening,
let us know
