Combat Fetishes
Play on Mage. Trash Combat Fetishes to add X to a D6 roll just made
for a Spell used by a Runner you control. X=user's Sorcery.
Jinx
Play on Runner with Sorcery. Turn and roll D6. On 1, 3, 5: Trash just
-revealed Electrical Challenge; 2, 4, 6: No effect.
Jinx Spirit
Play on Runner with Conjure. When present on a shadowrun roll D6 for
each Electrical Challenge revealed. 5+: Trash Electrical Challenge.
Drones and Ranged Weapons may not be used when Jinx Spirit is present.
Does not count toward the max. number of Spirits a shaman may use.
Since Fetishes must be played on a Mage, the only way I can see it
helping Jinx Spirit is if you're using Sally Tsung specifically (the
only Mage with Conjuring thus far).
I also don't see it being as useful with the Jinx spell as others,
since Jinx requires specific numbers (1, 3, 5) for success. For
example, if say I have Tempest (Sorcery-2) and I use Jinx. Combat
Fetish is useless. For my +2 from Sorcery to mean a success, I've
already rolled a success anyways: 1+2=3, 3+2=5.
Combat Fetish will only be a big deal on Jinx if your Mage has an odd
number Sorcery skill. Then +1 or +3 would make a 2 or possibly 4 into
a success.
Out of curiousty, since Jinx isn't an open ended spell (i.e. - 4+
means success) what happens if you go over the 6? Is it assumed all
odd numbers are success, and all even numbers are failure? Let's say I
play Wildfire (Sorcery-3) and try to Jinx a Fusion Gate, I roll a 6
which is no good, could I Combat Fetish the roll into a 9 and trash
the Fusion Gate? Opinions?
