Subject: Some thoughts to cheese objektives

Hi all!

We had a nice three- player game last night, where I had to build all of
the decks, because the two people I played with are not owning any cards
yet. So I tried to make three almost equally strong decks, giving each
of the decks cards to counter the other ones.

The first one was a troll - deck with Stomper, Katana, Louie da Bruiser,
Skwraaaaark, Hand Razors and so on. It had 4 Wanteds in the deck and
sported 4 Wake the Dead and 2 Urban Brawls as objektifs.

The second was an all human Razor Heads - deck, with Metahuman
Prejudices, Humanis Policlub Ganger and loads of Hand to Hand Weapons
and two Leader of the Pack as well. Its objectifs were Humanis Policlub
Ralley and Turf War.

The third deck was a sleaze deck with Charakters that have multiple
skills (like Drake, Tempest, Sam the Sleuth) lots of Recon (Static,
Kraker Jack, Browse) a lot of defense (4 Luck of the Irish, 4
Protective Sirit played on Shade) and Ice Queen + Sticky Fingers to slow
down the opponent.

[If you want complete deck - listings lmk]

We played to 80 pts reputation and the first game was over after 30
minutes with the troll deck scoring 4 Wake the Dead and the other decks
each scoring one objectiv. Then we decided to remove the cheese -
objectifs and replaced it for Critter Hunts and Site of Power. After
that, the games were pretty close with the sleaze deck winning a bit
more often then the other decks (but mostly because it ´s hard to make
the right intercept-decisions at 3.30 a.m. :-) ).

What I want to say is, that obviously the objectifs that turn all
challenges into fights are too strong. Your opponent just don´t cares
about Widow´s Trap if it turns into a zombie and Some Things Never
Change is a bit too expensive to be effectiv. So I will try to get the
others I play with not to use theese objectivs, because I think it´s
much more fun, if a game is not reduced to the question who´s got
Stomper + Katana + Harley Scorpion out first.

What´s your opinion?

Greetings,
Michael
