>I think the way armor works was to prevent the old M:TG "White Weenie Rush"
where you just get 6 little displosable guys to take on a challenge. If the armor only
worked once, even a group with only an average attack value of 3 couple take out a Hive
Queen. That just doesn't sit right with me. Imagine sending in 4 Thrashes and 2 Glitzes
into the center of a Hive. They wouldn't stand a chance with the current armor system,
but if we changed it they would do 18 points - 3 for armor for a total of 15, thus killing
the Queen and having a bunch of them survive (you would lose 1 Glitz or Thrash and the
other 5 would survive with 1 point left each).
The problem with this is that Thrash and Co. wouldn't make it as far as the Queen --
they'd bump into too many 6/6 (A1)s first. Okay; they can trash the first one; then
fatigue sets it. They barely make it past the second: then they go down the Queen's maw.
Which is as it should be. :)
Using the new Armor rules, though, they trash other Insect spirits in the Hive much easier
- because instead of each one receiving -1/0 (for the armor) it only affects *one* of
them. They're still mincemeat when they get to the Queen, but that's just because she is
nasty, nasty, nasty. This is part of the game -- if you could take what is (arguably) the
toughest Objective on the block with a bunch of Rockers, you would never need anyone
tougher. Not much of a game, there.

yeah, and I think a Monowhip should be AP, but that's just my opinon).
Tempest and Loki also deal out AP damage. I'm sure there are a few other effects out
there, too.
