Subject: Rules Modification: The Armor Flaw
Date: Fri, 22 May 1998 00:56:03 -0400
Hey all.

I didn't say that my response to the armor flaw was the optimal
resolution, just that it was one way to fix what is definately one of the
stronger problem areas of the game. :)

I agree that it would be preferable to see certain cards in the game
that reduce the overall value of armor somewhat (i.e. - Challenges and
Objectives that actually penalize those who have armor) than to see a
modification to the rules of the game.

I can already think of an Objective that would penalize for the use of
armor:

#####################################
Underwater Attack!
Challenge/Outdoor/Underwater

Objective: No indoor challenges.

Requirements: Defeat 7/7 (A2) Sea Monster
All Runners with total Armor greater than
A1 deal 0 damage during combat.

Whatever Chummer, you try swimmin' in a suit of Heavy Armor!
#####################################

Cards of this nature would definately help to balance the armor
situation in the game. What do you all think?
