All the cards I've seen in this thread seem to assume that
detectives
are part of or closely allied with Lone Star, Knight Errant, etc. I
thought the Shadowrun concept of detectives was more toward private
investigators (PIs). Otherwise, I would think the cards would be
labelled "Lone Star Detective", etc.

what do you think a PI does when they solve a case. slap thier
hands.
no they turn them over to the cops or who ever is there to take care
of it.

that where the arrest come in.

or we can have demented Detectives and change from asrest to
thrashed.
flavor" rob from my boss will ya'. blam blam blam"

Okay, I agree that some of the cards are closely related to the cops.
How about this one :

Type : Special
Name : <name>
Cost : 2
Description : Turn a detective and play <name> on a player. During
credstick phase, target player cannot complete his hand nor receive any
nuyen, including nuyen from Fame.
Flavor : "We were investigating on your credit and found that you own my
client some money".
