There are a number of people out there who are overriding the
"Reply to" fields with their mailers. Could everyone do the list a
favor and make sure that you are not doing this. There has been a
dramatic increase in this of late and it is one of the less obvious
things to "patrol." If you have questions on this please email me
(porthos@****.com) or any of the other Admins/GridSecs and we will be
more than happy to help you.
A dissertation on "Reply to" Fields for those inquiring minds that
want to know...
You may ask why this is important. When you override the "Reply
to" field is does not allow the list to substitute its address in that
field. You may have noticed that when you reply to a post on the list
it goes back to the list and not just the original poster. At least
it is supposed to. When the person is overriding the field, it
doesn't go back to the list, it only goes to the original poster.
This breaks down the whole idea of having a list.
