Whatever definition, I think that my group will play it this way : the
chipjack is treated as a 0 essence cost for three reasons :
1- simple calculation of essence loss.
2- no single runner with no gear can be targeted by cards like
Cyber-Psychosis or Infected Chrome (which will instently kill your runner
if no other gear is present).
3- This method works for any ambiguities (like Ravage for instance).
Of course, if FASA puts a ruling in this matter ...
