Subject: [GC] SRCard Tourney Rules
Date: Fri, 31 Jul 1998 16:19:07 -0700
Here's the basics on rules for the SRCard tourney at GC'98:

Tourney is presently set for Sunday a.m. 8:00-11:30. (Afternoon following FASA
Awards is a vague alternate possibility, but looking poor.) The location is
TBA and will most likely be relayed via the FASA booth.

Tourney will be constructed deck, combining single and multi-player games.
(Single --> Multi --> Single).

Games are played to 75 rep. Cumulative rep from the three games will be used
to determine tourney winner. There will be a time limit of 1-hour. Rep held at
the end of the time limit and is recorded and added to the cumulative rep
tally. Winning a game by meeting/exceeding the 75 rep in the allotted time
earns an additional 10 rep for that game.

There will be a 10 minute prep and organization period at the beginning, then
two 10 minute periods between games to add in sideboards and prepare for the
next game. This accounts for a 3.5 hour block. Those wanting to get to the
FASA awards at noon should have the time.

1. Deck construction rules per the RBT apply (60 minimum, limit of four,
Unique, ...)
2. 6 card minimum, Highlander-style Objective stacks: one of each.
3. Sucker Run does not count toward minimum 6 Objectives.
4. Card sleeves are allowed.
5. Demo-Deck cards are prohibited.
6. English cards only.
7. No proxies, photocopies, etc.
8. 20 card sideboard allowed, but must be out of reach of gaming table or
surface.
9. Saeder Krupp "winning" the game forces a draw between the players at that
point.
11. Limit of one use per turn on Media Chick.
12. Loaded Dice or Deja Vu may be used on the die roll for which player goes
first.
13. Objective stacks will not recycle.
14. First Run and Corp War (with respective promos) permitted.
15. Opposing player cuts a deck after it's shuffled.
16. Have fun. Competition is healthy. Over-competition costs you friends.
