The special Limited Edition of the SR3 hardback was only a run of 1000, and
pretty much only available through Gen Con. The lines were huge, and each
person was limited to a single copy per trip through line.
From what I heard there were only 11 copies left available at the Con by
Sunday, so I'm sure they sold out. This was why people like myself, Bull,
Caric and Rookie had people sending money with us to get LE hardbacks while we
were there. Not to mention, we could get the artists and FASA crew to sign
copies.
A pretty well confirmed rumor is that copies were held back to ship to the
playtesters, but other than that I'm afraid the special edition is sold out.
Even us judges at the Con only got a free copy of the regular softback and not
a LE hardback.
There were plenty of the softbacks still available by the final day of the
Con, and these will be on your local game shop's shelves soon. The first
printing of the softbacks runs $25, the second printing will feature a regular
hardback version (don't know price) and the softback will go up to $30.
