When I asked FASA Mike and then Skuzzy, they both just rolled their eyes and
said they don't know where the confusion is coming from. Ravage, Uncle Joe and
any other Runner who's special implies cyberware-like effects start with
Essence 6 just like any other Runner.

The common sense point they made, and that I've also posted, is that a newbie
player who gets Uncle Joe in a start but doesn't get Skillwires 2, or getting
Ravage but lacking Wired Reflexes, wouldn't know how much Essence to subtract
in the first place.

Don't overcomplicate the game with unneccessary bookkeeping. Just have fun.
