I just made a new deck and would like to hear what you think of it.
It's a sleaze deck focussing on mages. It contains 73 cards (20 runners, 16
Gear cards, 20 challenges, 14 specials, 2 locations and 1 contact) and most
cards are cheap.
Runners:
2 x Ajax (because he has good skills, is cheap and has stamina)
1 x Cherry Bomb (just because I like her :-), I replaced her for 1 Ajax)
1 x Macabre (has good skills, Macabre/Iron Lung Combo)
1 x Marek (to put some attack value in the deck, also good and rare skills
for a mage)
4 x Nightshade (has very important Social-2 and high body)
1 x Ro-Jin (Skills, Guard, Stamina)
1 x Sally Tsung (Conjure Skill and I like the character, though I don't
like the card art)
1 x Sam the Sleuth (valuable runner in every deck)
1 x Scorpio (same as Ro-Jin)
2 x Shasta (Sorcery-2 and very cheap but Body 3, I like the card art)
3 x Static (cheap recon)
2 x Tempest (skills, special ability, cheap)
Gear:
2 x Beretta (to give my weak runners more body)
4 x Combat fetishes (makes Sleep much more powerful with sorcery-2 and Jinx
much more powerful with Sorcery-1, the latter is successful 83 % of the
times)
2 x Dazzle (for the lack of the Stealth Skill in this deck)
2 x Jinx (obviously to trash nasty electricals)
1 x Lucky WF (There's always a use for it)
1 x Maglock Passkey (I hate that Maglock challenge, works also against
Heavy Sentry Gun)
3 x Sleep (mainly for Chomps, Flock of Geese and the Draco but there are
many uses for this card)
1 x Spell Lock (to give my Sorcery-1 mages a second chance)
Specials:
2 x Better Offer (to reinforce with high-quality-mercs)
1 x Cyber-Psychosis (my opponents always use Cyberware...)
1 x Deja Vu (quite versatile)
1 x False Mentor (never leave home without it)
2 x Forced Attrition (even when you play it against a 1 runner team, it
isn't that expensive)
2 x Just a rumour (especially for minefield or Lone Star Crowd Control)
1 x Lone Star Undercover (against Bullys)
2 x LOTI (just in case)
1 x Moment of clarity (very useful, if you got many Level-1-Skills in the
deck)
1 x The Skills to pay the bills (almost everytime I got 6 Nuyen with 2
runners)
Locations and Contact:
2 x The Iron lung (for fast deck-cycling)
1 x Shady manager (1 of my opponents has 8 "Famers" in his deck)
I didn't include the challenges, because they aren't important for deck
building. I made a mix of awakened, miscellaneous, personnel, electrical,
vehicle and street challenges (so I didn't miss anything...).
