Being the creator of said card, I did not intend it to be a "I hate
Deckers" type of card. If I wanted to make that, I would have had
something extremely rediculous. But I considered what black ice is suppose
to be in the Shadowrun universe. Not every decker should be able to walk
over it. And having a cost a bit higher than average just to have your
opponent stop for a moment to think is nothing to laugh at either.

Overall, I come to realize that a major problem with this game is there are
so many cards that never get utilized. Hell, a simple three card combo of
Katana-Stomper-Wake the Dead can really push for an easy win. There are so
many cards that add flavor to the game, but hell, why should they be used
when they have no real purpose? Maybe that is why the game is sinking - it
becomes more of the same.

My card was intended to add flavor to the game. And if it holds back on a
decker deck constantly running back and forth to Fuchi, more power to it.
Fastjack, the most powerful decker in the game, would still have a bit of
time dealing with the black ice while Hollywood - an apparent fly-by-night
decker, should get smoked. But then the whole becomes a "I hate Deckers"
deck again.

I would like to see the "change a few things" for this card. Take in the
flavor of black ice with the Shadowrun universe, the most powerful to the
weakest deckers available, and then add that little something that would
make the card noticeable, instead of another card that seems to never get
used because it would have no real purpose. Maybe I should have created a
card that does not require the potential to use combination of other,
less-used cards. Maybe I should have made it simple for deckers in the end :

Weak Black Ice - Special
Cost: 10 Nuyen
Text: "Play the card on anything. Decker character need not roll any D6 to
challenge this card. Add decking skill if desirable.
0-1 - Decker rerolls the die.
2+ - Decker gains 5 Nuyen and 5 reputation points."
Picture: Pile of cards gathering dust.
Flavor: "But it is what the players really want..."

I'm more open for criticism with ideas, instead of "This card blows." then
no offering to adjust said card.
