I don't know how old this message is, but GenCon is what got me
into the game. They didn't have much advertising for the card game,
they had one box of starters, boosters and UW out and that was it. The
cards were actually much cheaper at most of the independents booths.
They did however have 4-5 "volunteers" sitting down teaching people
how to play and answering questions. And they had a few of the artist
there signing stuff.
