I believe that there is a way for FASA to maintain interest in SRTCG
while they are working on other projects, before they put out Corp
Wars. If they could support a structured competition and ranking system
(with cards and offical sanctioning) then people would want to play the
game in the meantime. This would also be good for the future of the game
itself. Would it not be enjoyable to be rabked as one of the best SRTCG
players, and (what the heck) national or world champion?

To be honest, how many of the people out there have played people
outside of immediate friends and acquainances? Just because you have
honed a deck does not mean that someone could not outwit you. I have
seen different people play the same deck and get vastly different
results.

Not to be naive, but it would seem to me to be a less demanding and time
consuming way to support the game. As opposed to trying to rush Corp War
out to the public. The stock of First Run and Underworld cards are still
available. It would just be a matter of setting up the ranking and
tournament system.

Not a perfect solution, but I thought that I would see what people think
about it.
