Next time you can't sleep try these ideas. I don't have the time/patients to
put these in card form , but you seem pretty good at it.
How bout a new effect....keyword FLASH (or flare). You roll for it and it
varies from letting your runner/challenge do damage first to keeping it from
doing damage at all. An example FLASH GRENADES trash (grenade).Then target
runner or personnel challenge that is prestent. Roll d6 1-3 no effect, 4-6
user inflicts damage first in combat, 7+ target deals no damage during combat.
This basic effect can be used in gear,challenges,spell...etc. The roll can
vary, even the results could change depending on the power of the card, but
FLASH would be a keyword. In this way Cyber-eyes with FLASH compensators could
be created or some shades or a combat helmet for magic users. It would be nice
to give a little guy a chance to walk away from runner to runner combat with a
troll. Any challenges would basicaly be copys of ambush or security drone but
with a chance of failure or complete negation of SR teams attack value that
would end the run and still do its damage,like chomps.
Along the lines of Grenades how bout Phospheresent Grenades. Have them do
continual damage each round until a 5-6 is rolled? Throw in some basic FRAG
Grenades and you have enough grenades to do a Grenade Launcher. Maybe a gear
ranged weapon only runners with the gunnery skill can use and they can use
grenades on runners/challenges that arn't present? Like an inderect fire type
thingy?
Just a few ideas i got reading the SR books. Lots of Cyber-eyes in them
there books ,with flash comp. While your at it with the cyber-eyes give'em a
plus to Smart-Gun Link.
Well what do you think? Can anyone do anything with these ideas? I tried
to think of some kinda darkness keyword so low-light comp. or infra-red could
be used with the eyes also but i drew a blank.
