Hoi,

Its my opinion that games must have a card limit. If there wasn't a
card limit on MTG I could make an 8 card deck (guarentees a first round
kill and never looses). What fun would that be for me and the other
guy. L5R had a 30/30 limit and they found too many lion clan speed
decks winning in 2-3 turns. So they changed it to 40/40 thus less
chance of having the instant kill starting hand. My shadowrun decker
deck is the same way. With only 10 challenges in it, there is a strong
chance that I can take a muligin. So I get two chances to have my
killer opening hand wich had consisted of two icequeens and 1
stickyfingers, a jade and a humanis policlub ganger... in my opening
hand... lets just say the lockdown started early.

All games rely on some form of luck. It is all around it. I think that
shadowrun has done a good job in eliminating some of the classic, "if im
lucky my next card will be" sindrome. With cards that let you search
your draw pile for that special card. With being able to refreash your
hand rather than having to draw cards 1 at a time. There are others.

If Shadowrun had a no card limit I could guarentee a deck that would
never loose, unless my oponent played the same. It really is simple.

Cant loose deck - 60/6

Runners - 35
stomper - x20
Thrash - x15

Stingers - 25
Wild goose chase - x25

Objectives - x1
Desert Hit - x6

Cant loose L5R - 40/40
Stronghold - Toturi's army.
Dynasty deck - 40 toku
Fate deck - 40 Cant remember the card right now but its an event not
turrain card that ends a battle instantly... everybody just goes home...
kinda like wild goose chase.

Toku costs 0 and has 2 personal honor. every turn I would get 8 honor.
and the fate card stops any attack against any of my provences.

Cant loose Magic - 60
lands - 25 mountain
instants - 35 lightning bolts

This I think is obvious.

sure none of these are 100% guarrenteed, locked in stone, no way around,
your soul is mine decks. But they will have a 98+ win percentage. No,
I think there has to be card limits. Now there is arguments that well
what are the odds of having all those stompers and thrashes... really
good... there commons. as is toku and lighning bolts, wild goose chase
is an uncommon. These decks can be made... its just a good thing that
they are illegal.
