Some of the more recent posts have me wondering what type of
awakened runners could be used. (runners that are not human, dwarf,
elf, ork, or troll.) I have seen sasquashes, shapeshifters, dracoforms,
and several other breeds as shadowrunners during my years playing the
RPG and in some of the books that I have read. Here are some pot shots
on what those cards may look like.
I agree with exploring other Races, BUT elves, dwarves, orks and trolls are
all Awakened as well. So, I don't personally think it's necessary to state
they are "Awakened Runners" as part of the text.
Name - Hammendrell
Type - Dracoform Prime Runner (awakened)
Cost - 12/1¥
Threat - 9/12 (A3)
Skills - Leadership - 3, Social - 2
Traits - Guard
Text - Hammendrell cannot use gear cards. Once per shadowrun
Hammendrell gets a free 2D6 burst fire (Breath Weapon).
Flavor - "What was that crack you made about Dragons?"
I, personally, could see a Dracoform running the Shadows for the mere thrill
and cash reward, let alone having a legendary status among the Shadow elite.
As for a SRCard as ya mentioned....my imput is as follows:
Hammendrell - Mercenary
Dracoform Prime Runner. Unique.
12/2¥ 8/10 (A2)
Leadership - 3
2¥: +1/+0 until the end of turn. Hammendrell cannot use Gear Cards.
Now, Hammendrell (or another name) is a tough, but greedy chum and hard to
come by. Still tough and Leadership of 3 signifies his demand for power.
The pumpable is due to his firebreathing and hey....who could see ole
Hammendrell sportin' an UZI III or ridin' a Yamaha Rapier anyway? And you
alwayz gotta watch out for Better Offer against him too....though it would
cost your opponent 3¥ each round.
And I want to comment that I personally could see a Dracoform as a Mage,
Shaman, Decker, and a Bodyguard. But with Guard I think you should hafta
pay for it to use the ability maybe.
Name - Neerith Davenshade
Type - Vampire Prime Runner (awakened)
Cost - 8/1¥
Threat - 7/4 (A1)
Skills - Athlethics - 2, Stealth - 4
Traits - Hermit, Anti-social
Text - Neerith cannot hold cyberware cards. All non-weapon damage delt
by Neerith is silenced. Frag a runner present with Neerith, or from
your hand at anytime to fully heal Neerith Davenshade.
Flavor - "I kill only for food, health, and pleasure"

Name - Killeen
Type - Shapechanger runner (awakened)
Cost - 7¥
Threat - 3/4
Skills - Conjure - 1
Traits - None
Text - When deployed choose one of the following.
Bear.... Gain +3/+0 and Biotech
Tiger... Gain +2/+1 and Guard
Wolf.... Gain +1/+2 and Stamina
Turtle.. Gain +0/+3 (A2)
Flavor - "What you see, is not always what is"
I agree with Matt that any Shapeshifters should each be seperate Runners.
Name - Bacalique
Type - Sasquash Runner (awakened)
Cost - 8¥
Threat - 7/8 (A1)
Skills - None
Traits - Biotech, Stamina
Text - Bacalique is immune to virus tokens and any specials or abilities
that would decrease Bacalique's attack value.
Flavor - "No... I would not look good as a throw rug."
Well, since Sasquatches are more commonly seen behind the scenes in the
entertainment industry...I would rather see a Sasquatch as some sort of
Contact card that would help either Reputation or Rockers.
Name - Youura
Type - Werewolf Runner (awakened)
Cost - 7¥
Threat - 4/4
Skills - Melee - 2, Steath - 1, athletics - 1
Traits - None
Text - Roll D6 before going on a shadowrun 1-5 No moon - no changes. 6+
Full Moon - Gain +4/+2, (A+1), anti-social, until end of turn.
Flavor - "Look to the moon for real power"
Again, sorta mentioned in my recent posting I mentioned earlier.....with the
Day/Night game token. Giving a Vampire the suggested Nocturnal special
trait, and though I didn't go into Lycanthropes in my opinion....I guess
they wouldn't be necessarily Nocturnal, with the Day/Night token you could
just either reduce their given rating during the day or increase it at
night. I haven't divulged much into the thought of the Lycanthrope totally
yet.....personally.
Well thats what I have for right now... any other ideas out there please
post them or feel free to rip at mine... at least something will get
posted, so I have something to make my day go by a little faster :)
