Maybe I am interpreting what you said backwards, or you did for me, but
what I intended was a vampire gains his/her health back by fragging runners
and draining off their defense - not the damage equivalent to what the
vampire did. If Neerith went against a runner with a body of 3, if he wins
and frags that runner, he would remove 3 damage tokens. If he went against
a cybered runner with a body of 7 and 5 essence points lost to said
cyberwear, his total gain would be (7 - 5) 2. This 'power' could be
limited to only draining runners, so vampires could not gain health by
defeating challenges.

For regeneration, I intended that the vampire could do anything else : stay
in the safe house, swap gear, visit locations, and still gain points equal
to their regenerating skill. And if it is ruled that only places like a
blood bank can totally heal a vampire, then he/she would probably turn to
that location often.
