Subject: Vampire Cards and Evil things
Date: Thu, 24 Dec 1998 10:02:29 PST
Hoi,

Its the holiday season and things have been a little slow at work.
So I have taken some time and corralated all of the vampire evil dead
stuff, to work it out into some sort of really rough expansion idea.
The expansion could roughly be named "The Dark"... ya... ya... so sue
me... I'm not really all that good with names and that will never be
more apparent then when you read the runners names. Anyway a few notes
on this expansion... the cards listed are the runners, gear, and
specials... I have not gotten to the challenges, objectives, or contacts
and locations. Somethings you will notice... more cards that initate
runner vs. runner. More programs for deckers. More Virus cards.
Runner types focued on were mainly vampires... deckers... and shamans.
I have introduced 2 new aspects and 2 new traites. Regeneration -
runner may once per turn, without turning, heal a number of wounds as
per the ammount of regeneration. Assention - Turn two vampires, one
must have the assention trait, and that one must have a lower inital
attack rating than the other. Frag the one with the higher attack
rating and put a perminant +2/+2 token on the one remaining. Corruption
Tokens... These are permiant -2/-2 counters placed on runners that
cannot be removed, ever. (I could easily replace these with virus
tokens, if the number of different types of tokens are getting out of
hand.) The last is I decied to go with the limitation on Vampires that
during your upkeep phase you must place 1 -0/-1 wound for each vampire
you have in play on a non-vampire runner. If you cannot distribute all
of the wounds you must trash a number of vampires equal to the left
overs. Also as I believe that vampires and other creatures have no
business collecting rep... I am currently looking for other alternitives
to haveing them win, but currently I'm at a loss. Maybe multipurpose
objectives that give rep or something other reward that would fit the
roll of the vampire... this way game mechanics and operation would not
change... but the aspect on what wins the game would be more fitting for
that type of deck.
There were lots of cards posted that would fit nicely into this type of
expansion... but I didn't write any of them down... so feel free to send
them to me. Lastly a HUGE appology if any of the following cards look
even vaugly familure with something someone else came up with. I did
alot of the work late at night and I might have mixed up my idea with
something I read the previous day... So if any of the following card
ideas belong to someone else... please let me know and I will make a
note of it.
Anyway... here are the cards... Comments, critques, and flames
welcome... To keep list traffic to a minimum, I can do all replies via
private E-mails, if that is the grid secs wishes.
