Unfortunately, FASA doesn't really have the resources at the moment to do a
CD project - they're always low on staff, and the expected resources boost
that would have happened if Decipher had bought them didn't come through.

Also - while I would love to see a CD-ROM with alot of the old stuff on it,
Shadowrun has an ever advancing timeline, and releasing some of the old
stuff doesn't make a whole heck of alot of sense for new players, while
releasing the current crop of core books on CD-ROM doesn't make alot of
sense for FASA because they are selling so damned well in the dead trees
format.

Also, for new players, re-releasing FoF/SSC/Shadowtech and those books
isn't going to help. Imagine all the confusion when the players buy this
"new" CD-ROM with alternate Bioware rules written back in the 1st edition
days. It's almost enough to make me cry, thinking about the questions that
will be asked on ShadowRN and in #Shadowrun.

Plus, the various modules will need to be brought up to SR3 standards -
re-doing the characters, fixing page references, that kind of stuff. I was
talking to Mike last night about this very topic, and he didn't seem too
enthusiastic about poring over the old files to update them. ;)

I believe there are tentative plans to put some of the older stuff up on
the web, but right now FASA is way more concerned about getting the SR
schedule back on track and advancing the plotline with new stuff.
