That is definetely true. I'm a new member, so I'm not familiar with how popular this list
can get, but with so many members it made me believe that it would be SOMEWHAT busy.

Has the list known more popular times, or has it always been this quiet?

I remember, about 3 years ago, people actually wrote SR fanfics for the
SR fanfic list... I think Shadowrun has fallen out of favour... some
friends and I dusted off the books and played again the other day, and I
downloaded some more sourcebooks to expand our horizons... it was rad.

Our illustrious list-goddess hasn't given us a "Challenge" in a long time.
That was what had spurred a lot of writing in the past.

Perhaps, then, it is time for a new challenge? It seems like this has
been a time of relativity great activity for the list.

How many people would be interested in some sort of fanfic writing project?

Well, I certainly wouldn't be against such a thing, as long as the parameters are
explained thoroughly enough. So, in other words, count me in.

Now, who comes up with the challenge? Is it somthing like a round, or are we given
characters and we see how everyone uses them?

Well, English isn't my primary language, but if it inspires me I might give
it a shot.

In the past, someone would say "Write a story involving a Rigger named
John who is a BTL addict, an orbital space station, and it must include
an ancient Samurai-style swordfight". It is up to the writer to do
whatever they want with it, in terms of plot and stuff.
