Hey guys,

I've been on this ML for 2 months now, and I've seen some pretty good
stuff on it (by the way, Anissa, your Jazzman story looks nice, I'm looking
forward to the next episode ! but same remarks as the others about the
style). But unfortunately, I'm French (though I don't eat frogs, snails
etc. ;p), and thus can't post any of the things I write ; despite the fact
that my writing skills are quite good I don't think you'd understand
anything... *sigh*
So, I've become quite frustrated because of that, and I was wondering...
Are there any other people here in the same situation that I am ? (i. e.
other guys whose primary language is not English) Nah, because my friends
are saying i'm a psycho, reading books and stuff in English, so I just
wanted to know if it's true w/o having to pay for a psychiatrist... ;p

Well I don't actually know any other languages, but most of the time I use
English like it's my second langauge...

It sounds like you have an excellent opportunity to develop your English
skills, (you're already alot better than alot of the "l33t" kiddies I seen
around on various discussion boards). Most people that I know have learnt
English as a second (or third) language have better grammer than I do and I've
been speaking it all my live. Find your self someone to help with editing and
send us your stories :)

P.S. Being fluent in both English and French is a valuable skill, so if you're
a psycho then you're a skilled
psycho.

I'll do it. I was a Copy Editor on my school newspaper in college (which means
that every Wednesday night I'd go through 24-40 newspaper pages of text, read each
article carefully, and verify that the spelling and grammar used in each article
were correct, and then check each page of copy once more, including pull-quotes
(if you don't know what they are, don't ask), headlines, and picture captions. It
was always a long night) so I know what I'm doing. And if there is any mistakes in
this reply, well, I've always been more careful with other people's writing.

I don't think that you are a psycho. I know a lot of people here in Germany
who read mainly the books they buy in their original language (usually
English).
But I know the problem you have but the people think that I am crazed
because of the hobby role-playing games...
