Hey guys.... I've been lurking around the list for the past 2 weeks to
see how the list wheeled and dealed and as far as I can see, everybody's
busy with the RA:S project, which I assume (from the mails I've read) to
be a anthology project based on the Renraku Arcology: Shutdown! book.

So, the interesting question is, am I too late to join in? I liked
RA:S, mainly because it was so similar to my all-time favourite
cyberpunk computer RPG (System Shock! Looking Glas' first great game.
And remember, System Shock II is coming out ;)) which features a
suspiciously similar angry AI let loose upon unsuspecting civilians..

If its not too late, what options are still left open to a young,
enthusiastic wannabe writer that haven't been covered by everybody else
yet?

Thanks in adv,
Acolyte57

Not everyone. Just the ones who are talking. :) And yes, that's pretty
much right, although there is much more detail to it.

Well it is a BIT late for new writers, although planners and editors
are always welcome. Tell you what, though. Give me a sample of your
writing and try to come up with a good, UNIQUE story idea set in the
arc. There are certain details about the project that will have to be
taken into account, but we can worry about those later. If you're good
enough, you're in. :)

Now, that's just for publishing purposes. I don't know if you've
noticed, but I intend to submit this to FASA to try to get published
and if that happens, we're likely to have to limit the size and number
of stories in it. If, on the other hand, we're rejected (*sob*), then
if you write a story for the book, we'll include it - no size
restrictions then, y'know.
