As a potential writer in the set, Id certainly like to have say-so in what
the work ends up as for the final product.

I've been lurking on this list for a few weeks, not really reading it much.
I'm subscribed to the digest and usually there are only a few posts.

Anyway, I see this project idea and was wondering if there would be a final
story compilation put together or will it just be an email thread. I'm a
filmmaker from USC and was wanting to find a script based on Shadowrun to
make into a film sometime in the near future.

If the final story has about 3 main groups of say, 3 characters (or the
ability to cut things out in order to make it that way), and if I'm able to
convert one of the characters into a protagonist, then it would be adaptable
into a screenplay and I could produce it here at USC.

Thoughts?
(cc your reply to cochard@***.edu since i won't get the digest till the end
of the day)

Jason - the idea is to try to get FASA to publish it - in which case
you'd have to deal with them. But as a consequence, yes, there will be
a final story compilation.

Okay, I'm not sure just how it'll work out, but hey, you can always
adapt it, right? :)

Anyway, I'm not the be-all and end-all of things on this project
(despite my apparent egomania :) ). You'll have to see what the other
writers say, as it's their work you'd be adapting as well as mine, but
I don't have any problems with the idea.

I WOULD however, make the caveat that the writers would have some
say-so over your script. Like I said, it's going to be our work
originally, so we want to have some control over what happens to it.
