Okay, people, the weekend is here again for me. Only two days, this
time. :)

Anyway, I've now gotten reposts and new story ideas from 5 people
(including my own). That means there are a lot of you who still haven't
responded.

Could you try to repost your ideas to me (or the list) if you've posted
them before, or send me new ones over the weekend? Please please please
please please?

Kismet, are you going to write that 'control group' story?

Drea, am I going to get your sneak-thief tale out of you?

Strago - had an idea. What if you did your story from the viewpoint of
the resistance cell that makes the deal/s with the team/s?

Anyway, I'll see you all next week. In a manner of speaking. :)

Hmm.. If any of you have any ideas about interfacing your stories with the
shadowrunner team story core thread.. plz let me know your thoughts on the
matter so perhaps we can work on ideas to further the story through the
anthology of the arcology. :)

This depends Doc. When I gave you the idea, I told you
that I would write it if none of the better writers
wanted to take it. You never told me you needed me. I
have very little experience writing. My husband and I
wrote 1 Shadowrun story together for our website. I
will give it a shot if you need me to.

The story idea is:

A pregnant woman in the control group of the arc, who
has no idea what is going on outside, runs into a
member or team of one of the groups. Any of the teams
will work with this. Initially, she wants to turn
them in, like any good corp gal. They or him/her/
convince her that Deus has taken control of the Arc.
She then has to decide whether to rat them out, keep
quiet, join the resistance or whatever. Keep in mind
that nothing horrific has happened in here little
area, and she is 8 mos pregnant. That whole personal
safety/what's best for the baby/he will kill these
people if she turns them in thing.

Ok so that was my idea. Does anyone want to write it?
I will if you think you need a story like this. If
not, it won't hurt my feelings to just forget it.

Kismet

BTW, When I gave this idea to Doc originally, I had no
idea I was pregnant. So please don't submit this idea
to Le Bad Shadowrun story contest.

I was probably going to link mine with the Shadowrunner team.

My idea in a nutshell is a Troll ganger picks the wrong day/time to
do a smash n' grab in the arcology. While casing the place, the Arcology
shuts down and the Troll is trapped inside. He manages to somehow survive on
his own. He will come across the Shadowrunning team and eventually lead them
past an area of Deus influence.

I haven't really started on it cos I'm still waiting for
Dragonscroll, Inc. to get off their asses and send me the RA:S.

Here's my story idea:

The story is told from the POV of a corp suit who joined the Resistance
during the Shutdown. It'll be in diary form (I think, at least the first
part will). His cell is one which is run by a Red Samurai. The main
character is a pathetic peon who makes no decisions at all. The Red Samurai
(I think his name will be Kwanzai Hirohito) is one who knows guerrilla
warfare inside and out, and so they use the floors taken over by Renraku as
a safe haven and staging area. They know all about the Red Samurai mission,
and they help Renraku beat up on the UCAS forces (I think, I haven't
decided yet. Would whoever is writing that story contact me privately about
that?). When Renraku gets smashed, the cell takes on the new members. They
do a few missions, and then they meet up with the runners, who need Deus'
leech-dissolving serum to rescue whomever they are rescuing. They make the
deal, they get the serum, they split up, and then the guy who is carrying
the serum gets killed. There's the big battle, and the Resistance cell,
down 2/3 of its forces, slinks back to the fifth floor to lick its wounds.

Ditto. Actually, you might want to talk to Renee about that one if you
have trouble - I think that's the kind of thing she likes to write
about. Stop me if I'm wrong, Renee.
