Number Two:

I hate the dark, sitting here, waiting, seeing nothing, being nothing, doing
nothing. It's so goddamn boring. Nothing to do, but sit here, waiting,
waiting endlessly, in terminal darkness, always darkness. Why is she
ashamed of me? Why does she hide me like this. There is no need. I am
perfect, honed to precise measurements, with strength enough for anyone.
She should be proud of me, display me as the wondrous creation that I am.
But no, oh no. Instead I am locked away in the dark with only a pinpoint of
light for company. Such a small amount of light. Why? I was designed for
the light. Gleaming, highly polished, perfect. Yet here I am, with just
this flesh, and the small light, in darkness. I hate the dark.

Oh, wait.

Ahhhhh...

Oh the ecstacy, the pleasure. She wants me. She wants me to come out where
all can see me. She wants me to do what I do best.

"Well hello there fucker! Wanna play with me?"

Flesh rending, bone shattering, the heart, oh the heart. Yes. Pumping,
blood spraying, warm, warm, wet, ecstacy. This is what I do... Wait. No,
put me back. i...

Yes!

Again, again. Again. AAHHHHH!!!!.....

Death, pain I can feel it. Muscles contracting, nerves twitching. A lung.

Oh, the rush

Wait..

That sound...

No, not the darkness, Not again. No, I beg of you don't put me away in the
DARK!!! NO!!!!

It's not my fault they died. That's what I do...

Aarrrggghhhhh!!!!

I HATE THE DARKNESS!!!

BITCH!

It'll be weeks before she uses me again. Damn, I hate being a spur.

OK, for fear of sounding like a complete loser, can someone point me at
the challenge (or repost it for the benefits of the newcomers?)

cheers

Subject: [KRW] Repost of the Challenge :)

As requested, and since there *have* been a number of people joining us in
the last 24...

The Archives can be found at: http://jackpoint.org/pipermail/srfanfic/
-------------

Welcome to SRFanFic! (Shadowrun Fan-written Fiction)

I hope that everyone will contribute at least one story a year. ;)

Please remember that I'd prefer that SR related discussion stay on ShadowRN.

As for how Fiction-related posts and discussion will be handled.... I'm not
sure quite yet. I suppose that will get ironed out soon enough. Please use
good judgement before hitting the 'send' button. ;)

The first challenge is a doozy, thanks to Tan-Dor, for the idea in advance.
;) Rest assured, they can only get easier. The purpose of challenges is
simply for fun, they will be announced from time to time, on no fixed
schedule.

So... The first challenge as promised....

Ever wonder what your cell phone thinks of you? Or what your wired reflexes
do while you are asleep? What about your foci, what do they think of your
summoning style?

If only I could tell him.

I rise out of the sewage, water, and other things, running off my back.
Topping it off, I'm dragging this unconcious super-squid behind me. Now, is
this my job? Is this why he brought me along? So I can run around in
horrible conditions, pulling the local fauna about?

I mean, seriously now.

If I had the courage, I'd have a thing or two to say to Octane. Sure, h

It's not Octane's fault, really.

I have stuff to tell him. But then, he's not paying any attention to me.
He's remote operating the van up above, getting it backed up and into
position so we ca
